The anti-spam legislation introduced in 2003 required people to positively 'opt-in'. The original list was scrapped in September 2004 - it had been built from many sources, (Party in the Park, Management Council, Resident Update and Business Registrations, Picnic in the Park, and miscellaneous contacts), but only a handful of these signed-up for E-Updates. The Public and Member websites both include CPRA Ltd's Privacy Policy, and the Member website also includes Terms & Conditions of use.

This enabled CPRA Members to provide information and input to discussions without the need for Website updates or lengthy Email exchanges. Registration took about 2 minutes, and people were encouraged to give it a try by providing feedback re Picnic in the Park 2004 and input re any future events. Hardly any use - ahead of its time?!
